There’s no right or wrong way to welcome a New Year, is there? Maybe you get inspired to make a resolution that ends up drifting off to forget-it-land by late January. Or, you’re someone that will stick with your personal mission and values no matter what time of year it is.

We can usually make choices that help us navigate our body/mind in this lifetime. And like the ways of nature, things are ever-changing, ever-evolving. One minute, we’re enjoying a light sprinkling of rain, the next we’re struggling to manage a downpour that’s expected to cause severe damage.

Stay close to whatever, or whomever is working well with you. Resist the pressure to change so the outside matches some external message. A Yoga practice helps us cultivate the inner guide that inspires the inner changes first. Then, we see what’s left that needs adjusting in the realm of people, places and things.

We consider how can we be of best service to a world near and far. How can we minimize the desire to take more than we need from this life. It’s honestly a challenging task! Living a spiritual life requires practice and a firm commitment. It’s not just a walk in the park…unless that’s part of your life’s practice!

Let’s stay connected,

Mukunda Marc
